Can juvenile traffic ticket be transferred to juvenile's county of residence?
My son received a traffic ticket in central CA. He is under 18yr, and must appear in juvenile court with a parent. Can the appearance be transferred to southern CA, or must he & I travel back to Fresno county for the appearance.

Answer 4 :
It cannot be transfered. Check with the court to verify that it is a mandatory court appearance crime, because often traffic tickets can be dealt with online or over the phone without a court appearance.

First, you should make sure this cannot be taken care of online. Many counties handle juvenile traffic matters through the same system as adult, where the fine can be paid, traffic school approved and completed, all online. If you cannot handle this online, juvenile traffic matters CAN be transferred to the minor's county of residence. because of the differences between juvenile and adult courts, (The others answers would be correct if this were an adult case.) You should contact the juvenile court ASAP, and in any event before the appearance date.
